The rise in addiction to social media and the sight of everybody scrolling through it the entire evening and losing out on personal space was the initiation point for #theKatheProject. The project aimed at bringing out the kind of stories that got told before the age of the smartphone, the stories that emerged in family rooms when the power went off, or when friends were stuck somewhere in a downpour – “Not stories we read or write, but stories that emerge from our personal experiences, confessions, nostalgia.”
The 30 episode web series had a mix of people from Kannada Art industry reminiscing and narrating their evening time stories. The series had opening and closing episodes from Super Star actors Prakash Rai and Ramesh Aravind. The series collectively crossed more than a million views.
